Meet Thomas E. Underwood

With over 25 years of experience in human services and counseling, Thomas E. Underwood has
built a career on compassion, trust, and helping others navigate life’s most challenging moments.
In 2003, he earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, MA,
and dedicated himself to supporting families as a Mobile Therapist. His approach has always
been rooted in care, honesty, and meeting each person where they are.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Thomas transitioned into real estate with the same
commitment to service—helping clients through what can often be a stressful process. Today,
he’s an accomplished Associate Broker, known for his calm demeanor, attention to detail, and
exceptional communication.

Based in the Lake Norman area and serving communities from the University region to
Rockingham, Thomas has represented properties featured in Charlotte’s Luxury Home Magazine
and the Charlotte Business Journal. His accolades include Top Selling Agent, Top Listing Agent,
and Top Agent in Total Volume—recognition he credits to the meaningful relationships he builds
with every client.

Outside of real estate, Thomas is the founder of Team Providence Athletics, a nonprofit
organization that empowers student-athletes through sports and mentorship. A proud father and
lifelong Lakers fan, he enjoys spending time with family, following his son's athletic pursuits,
and competing in fantasy football.
